RECYCLING

Why recycle? It makes sense!
  • Reduces Waste
It reduces the waste going to landfills.
  •  Reduces Pollution
The more we recycle, the less garbage we leave on the earth.
  •  Saves Energy
Recycling one aluminum can saves as much electricity as it takes to run a television set for four hours.
  •  Conserves valuable natural resources
It takes approximately 17 trees to produce one ton of newspaper.
  •  Strengthens the economy
Reclaiming resources puts money back into the local economy and provides jobs in the recycling industry.

Recycling is mandatory in Greentown! There is also a recycling center at the fair grounds.

SINGLE-STREAM RECYCLING SERVICE

Use your green container with the yellow lid to place all your recyclables together, no sorting needed! Place your container at the curb on collection day.
